Another Month of Squares

This Block-a-month crochet-a-long is proving to be really enjoyable.  I find myself getting very excited as the new month draws near in anticipation of the squares to be made.

This month's squares have been as much fun as the previous month's.

Firstly I made up four of the smaller squares.

This pattern is called Bobbly Flower Square.

I loved this one, it was lovely to make.  It needs a bit of a block but it's probably my favourite so far.

Next I made the main square.

The pattern is Emmalynn Square.

Finally, the filler square was this one.

It's called Spiro Star and I found this one quite challenging.  It wasn't as enjoyable to make as the others, but now that it's finished, I'm very pleased with it.

So now I have the equivalent of nine large squares towards my blanket.  It seems to be growing so fast.

Can't wait for April to do it all over again.

In the meantime, it's finally here, it's my birthday tomorrow, so I'm off to have a good time - hopefully with some knitting thrown in for good measure.  Be back soon.

  3. I love the square edged with green. These squares look quite chunky, must take a while to do. Have a lovely birthday.
