I couldn't resist treating myself to two balls of some Regia 4 Ply when I was in Liverpool the other day.
I just love the colour - I go weak at the knees at most berry colours and this one is good enough to eat.
I'm planning on knitting some long fingerless mittens and so far this is the pattern I think I'll use.
It's called Gansey Wristers and it's by Kalliopi Aronis and best of all it's a freebie. You can download the PDF here. I'll have to do something with my nails if I'm planning on modelling the gloves myself!
Having started so many new projects recently, I'm trying to apply some discipline so I haven't cast on for these mittens yet. I'll wait until the shawl I'm working on is finished - hopefully it won't take too long. I've completed about two-thirds of the edging - it grows quite quickly and the body of the shawl is plain stocking stitch so shouldn't be any trouble (fingers crossed).
It's going to be very large and snuggly - perfect for cosy winter nights. I hope you're all enjoying as much crafty time as I am at the moment.
The colour of the yarn is delightful. I am working on Christmas gifts and still plodding along with wedding décor, but that is certainly keeping me busy. Have a productive day.
ReplyDeleteYou can send them to me and I'll model them for you ::wink, wink:: lol
ReplyDeleteBeautiful wool, love the colour and indeed the pattern-umm need to crack this knitting lark ASAP!.
ReplyDeleteYour square doily is a triumph, so refreshing to see a different shape.
Hey I was in Liverpool yesterday-alas not near a wool shop but probably just as well, my daughter would not have been impressed ha ha.
Gorgeous city, very welcoming.
Have a lovely week.
