A Little Longer Than a Weekend

The knitting needles have been clicking away again.  We may complain about the cold weather but all those hours spent sitting on the sofa, huddled up in the warm, mean plenty of crafting time.  And so, my shawlette is finished.

The pattern is called Le Weekend (because the designer, Jan Henley, made it in one weekend - mine took a little bit longer, but not much!).  It's a free Ravelry download pattern.

I love the colours in the yarn.  It's hand dyed 100% British Falkland merino 4 ply and the colour is "Roses in the Snow".  Not sure that I would link the name with the colours.  I think that Joanne came up with a better description when she said it looks like "a sweet shop's worth of colours".

You can see details of this project on my Ravelry page, here.

I'm now wearing this shawlette all the time - so soft, so warm, so jolly, so perfect.

Time to move on to something new - a cardigan I think!  See you soon.

  1. It is beautiful, such a versatile item for this time of year. I totally agree with you a strange colour description.

  2. First comment? It looks nice and "drapey" ( is that a word?) Gorgeous colours. As you said, like a sweet shop.
